Well it’s been another few days with The Vit B Spray, and I have found another one by Natures Bounty that has a few more of the B’s included. It doesn’t taste as nice but hey it seems to be keeping the pain down in between meds so that at least it is tolerable to go throughout the day, and that’s a thumbs up for me. I had another windy day yesterday and once again the Vit B12 Spray was able to get me through to my next regular daily migraine dosage. I took the D3 Spray with it as well, and I actually was an hour past my regular time taking my migraine medications before I realized “Wow I gotta take my medicine.”.

If you are a milder case headache/migrainer, Vit B could be your go to medicine or at least be able to cut back on the amount of over the counter meds you will need to take, lessening the destruction to your stomach, liver and whole digestive system. It is recommended that if you are taking Vit B6 for headaches to also take Vit D3 and Magnesium. These 3 together can make a powerful pain reducer aiding your body to provide the sheaths needed around the nerves and muscles to reduce constricting blood vessels and tight muscles.

Okay let’s move on to another top priority vitamin, Vitamin B6, Pyridoxine. B6 is used in the body for almost all body functions physical and mental. It is essential to help the body make serotonin and norepinephrine, which are needed for transmissions of brain signals. It aids in the development of red blood cells and helps the body in absorbing fats and proteins and keeps certain electrolytes in balance; potassium and sodium.

Vitamin B6 is essential for the nervous system and brain functions. B6 is important especially if taking B12. B6 will help the body absorb more B12. B vitamins are intrinsic for healthy brain development and daily functions of the brain, nervous system and cell reproduction. They act like a coating for the nerves to help them work more efficiently. The coating is called Myelin and is a made up of protein that forms around the nerve. B6 in a B Complex Vitamin, is also incredibly helpful in decreasing heart damage. It helps to block a toxic chemical, homocysteine, which is a chemical that increases cholesterol in and around the heart increasing symptoms of heart failure. There are studies which show B6 can improve your chances of decreasing cancer, helping your body to remain stronger. You do have to be careful though in taking too much. Too much B6 would be over 1000mg a day for a long period of time. If taken in its recommended dosages 25-100mg a day it is quite beneficial for many reason including the above. Any extreme use of Vit B6 can cause loss in co-ordination, but is not considered toxic.

Some examples of Vitamin B6 deficiencies can be anemia (decrease in red blood cells), headaches/migraines, mental difficulties and learning difficulties, fatigue, depression, loss of memory, nausea, acne, mouth sores and gum inflammation, slow healing of wounds and sores, dry skin rashes, numbness in extremities, vomiting and convulsions, painful joints, irritability, heart damage and tendon soreness. B6 can help with premenstrual syndrome reducing water retention and is being studied for the reduction of kidney stones. B6 along with its B complex vitamins is a very important supplement for those who have Parkinson’s Disease, to help decrease the degeneration of the nerves and nervous system. Taking a Super B Complex has been recomended to patients who have Parkinson’s in the family, hoping to decrease the development of the disease in other family members.

I like to get all my Vitamin B’s in a Complex B vitamin, but you can also get B6 throughout your day by incorporating more carrots, spinach, peas, chicken, fish, meat avocado, bananas, broccoli, cantaloupe corn, potatoes, brown rice, whole grains, milk, cheese, cabbage, and eggs.

Those who take estogen therapy and antidepressants should take a B6 supplement. It is also recommended for women who take oral contraceptives to take a Vit B6 or full Vit B complex. Some medications block the absorption of B6, and they would be; cortisone medications and those medications for water retention.

One little bit of advice, is to keep your B vitamins in the fridge, it helps to keep their potency.

Adding B Vitamins to your daily routine is easy and extremely beneficial for those with brain, mental illnesses, heart and nerve damage, or for those who have these types of illnesses within their family tree. It’s always best to act in a preventive manner other then trying to restore an organ or organs that have been damaged.

As Benjamin Franklin said, An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”
