Hi there friends! Today I wanted to give my review on the Jamieson Vit B12 Energy Spray. I have been using the spray for a little over a week and today it got a real test run. There has been very high winds in my neck of the woods since around 9am this morning, which has made today a very arduous day for me and my cocanoodle…brain.
As a woke this morning, I instantly knew today was going to have a few hurdles. Even before I looked to see how hard the winds were blowing, my head was on high alert making my stomach start the rollercoaster ride of “Heave”, Oh joy, oh bliss. My first instinct was to get up and get my medicine into me right away, but I was really nervous because I knew food or medicine would not make my belly too happy. Then I remembered the Vit B Spray, so I asked my daughter if she could bring it to me. The moment she saw me she knew too that today was going to be a struggle.
A Quick History
Normally I would take my medicine right away and just put up with the lurching effect it would cause in my stomach for an hour or so, until I could settle it some and get some breakfast… but today, I reached for the Vit B Spray first. Normally again, right after breakfast, as soon as I take my daily medicine and vitamins, I take my High Potency Vit B immediately, and I find great results, not only with less pain, but also energy wise. The Jamieson spray has one string of Vit B which is Vit B12, so I was a little apprehensive that it would give me the increased relief I was going to need to get my feet on the floor.
As I had mentioned, I have been taking it over the past week during the afternoon to get me over the 3pm hump, when all morning meds have been pee’d out by then, and I must say, it did seem to help me have less stabbing pain till around 5-6pm. My normal dosage of Vit B12 that is in my High Poteny Vit B vitamin is 50mcg and in the spray you take 2 sprays for an approximate total of 500mcg…needless to say I have been on top of all my household chores by suppertime with my added gusto.
So Back To Present.
So my daughter and I thought well if it doesn’t work I’ll just have a day of extra meds, it was worth the try to see if the Vit B12 could knock the nausea and pain out of my brain, and so began our little experiment.
I took two sprays of Vit B at around 8:30am. Normally if I take my meds before I set my feet on the floor it takes about 20 minutes for them to react. Today after taking the two sprays in about 10 minutes may be, I was already feeling about 50% better and I didn’t have to stay in bed. About 5 minutes after that, I was shocked that the nausea was leaving and I was up on my feet brushing my hair looking forward to breakfast. NO MEDS TAKEN! This has been unheard of for me…truth!
Usually, on a regular day of turmoil, I take my meds before I get out of bed, wait 20 minutes because if I get up so will the medicine…not pretty…then after 20 minutes when I feel that I can keep them down, I literally have to push myself to the stove to get breakfast moving while in a hutched over position praying to be able to make it to the breakfast table and not back to bed. I can usually get a piece of fruit in me and manage to finish getting breakfast cooked, but it is not a nice feeling. Along with stabbing pain hitting me randomly all over my brain my stomach is doing the hokie pokie.
But this morning was different.
After I got up within 10 minutes of the spray, brushed my hair and headed out to the kitchen, we both noticed I was not like the hunchback of Notre Dam, I was completely vertical. HORRAY!! We both said wow this seems so different. My nausea was gone and I cooked breakfast, we set the table, ate breakfast, then I took my meds and had noooooo nausea at all. Now, I still did have stabbing pain every 10 minutes or so but it was more localized and just small juts of no more then 30 seconds. For me, on a day like this…that’s a definite win!!!!
It made me feel good to not have to take extra pain medication, and so far today, I have had 2 more magnesium capsules at 1pm with my lunch and one more spray of Vit B12 at around 2:30pm. I would have had to have had, at least 2-3 extra Atasol 30’s today, but instead the Vit B12 did the trick.
Over the past week that I have been experimenting with it, it did seem to get me through, and today I was completely surprised that I was able to keep going. We went to a little boutique store and the grocery store, and as I sit here now, I am still vertical and typing away. I do still have some stabs every 20 minutes or so but I can handle that no problem. So I would have to say, I will keep experimenting with the Vit B12 spray as little pick me up, and let you know if these results remain positive.
Most information that you will receive about migraines is about taking Vit B6 with Vit D3 and magnesium so I was surprised with the result of the Vit B12. Below is a little synopsis on the Vit B 12.
Vitamin B12
Vit B12 is known as cobalamin and contains colbalt. The best Vit B12 to take that the body will digest and use better is called methylcobalamin, which is the Vit B12 that is in the Jamieson Vit B12 Spray. Unfortunately though, most Vit B12’s are the cyannocobalamins, which the body hardly digests at all. The body needs Vit B12 to use in the synthesis of certain proteins that can help to reconstruct nerves that have been damaged and also to help keep healthy nerves working. One Danish study has shown that high doses of Vit B12 helps in protecting neurological deterioration.
Vit B12 has been shown to protect the nervous system and help prevent Parkinson’s Disease and many other neurological disorders. It has been shown to help aid in the production to build protein, which is necessary for heart functions, to decrease clotting and plaque which as we know leads to cardiovascular disease and stroke.
Vit B12 is needed to reduce anemia helping the body to make more red blood cells which help the body make more iron.
It is very much a domino effect, as the red blood cells increase the anemia decreases, the iron is better absorbed throughout the body, which then helps the digestive system, the circulatory system, nervous system and cardiovascular system. Those who may be deficient may find chroinic fatigue, depression, mood swings, headaches, migraines, digestive disorders, dizziness, liver dysfunction and enlargement, neurological damage, heart damage, eye disorders, memory loss, irritability, anemia, anxiety increasing, nervousness, ears ringing, constipation, and spinal deterioration.
A study in The American Journal of Obstetrics in 2004, found that women with children born with spina bifida had decreased levels of Vit B12. Some more then 21% lower then women who bore children with no signs of spina bifida. Showing that lower levels of Vit B12 were contributing to nerve damage.
Those who take cyanocobalamin, instead of the methylcobalamin, (check the type of Vit B12 of the side of your vitamin bottle to see which one is present within), found little to no recovery.
Those who take the methylcobalamin show remarkable results.
It really matters which type you are taking in order to regenerate nerve damage. So far the only medications that seem to decrease the absorption levels of methylcobalamin are potassium supplements, antigout and anticoagulant medications. Some may find a Vit B12 injection better for their ailment and therefore will need to have that procedure done at your doctor’s office.
Most vegetarians will find that they are deficient in B12 because Vit B12 is found mainly in meats. Those who have been vegetarians for 5 years or more, may want to supplement or at least get their Vit B12 levels measured, because the only vegetables that carry Vit B12 are sea vegeatables, like kelp, bladderwrack and soy products. Vit B12 is also found in eggs, liver, some fish like mackerel and herring, seafood and dairy products. There might be a couple more I may be missing but these are the main ones.
After researching B12 much more indepth, I can see how the High Potency Vit B is definitely helping me, and I am going to ask about Vit B12 injections. It could be another missing piece to the puzzle of my shattered health. I will be doing more experiments with the B12 and the Jamieson Vit D3 spray. Next I will make a point to take them together because they both have their attributes towards helping to reduce migraines.
By the way, the Vit B12 and the Vit D3 sprays taste quite nice, I don’t mind them at all. They are almost like having a treat. The Vit B12 tastes fruity and sweeter then the Vit D3 (thank you to the stevia) and the Vit D3 tastes orangey but not as sweet tasting as the Vit B12. The taste for both is quite pleasant, so be careful around young children who may think it tastes like candy.
In upcoming blogs I will get into how Vit B6 and Vit D3 help the body. Hopefully by then, I will have more information on my current experiment with these sprays. There is nooo doubt in my mind the Vit B12 has helped to reduce the daily pain over the past few weeks along with my regular high potency vit b. I’m just incredibly happy to reach for the Vit B Spray and not the Atasol 30. That’s another exciting development for me and hopefully for other pain sufferers like me. I truly hope some of my information can help you or someone you love.
Hope you have a pain free day…Take Care Friends
