What to Expect

Ok, well let me give you some idea of things you will be reading on this blog site. First, if you haven’t read the “About Charzie” and the “Disclaimer” please take 5 minutes to read it. It will give you some back ground info and a little legal “what you do with this info is completely your decision.” I am a fountain of knowledge wishing to over flow my findings into your lives and hoping some of my waves will be able to wash away your pain. It’s up to you which wave you jump over and which wave you dive into.

I hope to be able to give you the information to reclaim your life again in layman’s terms, so that important life changing information is not lost in medical jargon. I will post many titles of books I have read that could be helpful to you as we go along, the vitamins and supplements that will change your life, recipes for juices, smoothies, and helpful snacks that are soo simple and like a gift from the heavens to give new life into your bodies and organs. I will let you know about how weather patterns can affect our circulatory systems, sleeping patterns, facts about our food supply and simple non-exerting easy and enjoyable exercise tips to give you energy. Yes, seriously you will be amazed at how simple and easy it is, (and tasty), to implement these small changes into your lives that will make your insides feel rejuvenated like a newborn baby… ready to take the challenges that will come your way for the many decades ahead of you…with baby steps.

I will not only have information about nutrition but also about why your body is doing what it does. How your insides are connected, so in order to fix one organ you will need to clean up another and “Abracadabra” it will feel like your Fairy Godmother has finally woken herself up, dusted her little wrinkly butt off from her slumber and given you a major whack with the gift stick to a new lease on life! POOF!!!! Taking years off your life again. Your organs will thank you, your vascular/circulatory system will thank you, (you know those hollow spaghetti like tubes that carry all that red liquid that mosquitos love so much throughout your insides and occasionally spills out into the outside..that’s usually an owie!),  your skin will thank you, your family and friends will be shouting cheers from the roof tops about your recovery.      It will happen.

The foods that I am now eating cost only a few dollars and are worth gold. I will blog about many different foods, vitamins and minerals and the important role they play to heal our bodies and help reduce pain.  I will help and encourage you to stick to whatever new recovery road you have chosen to try to help your body help itself. I am a little Energizer Bunny on BUST!!…with loads of encouragement, tenderness, a sympathetic ear, and an uncanny yet probably excessive need to research everything. I know it is not easy but friends listen… IT IS WORTH IT!! To be whole again, is like a gift that no lottery can ever give, and if you have a great support system then use it and if not then let me help you to not slide back into old habits. I will encourage and listen, and help and research the heck out of whatever topics I can that are relevant to the cause.  I will give it more then my best because I know how precious it is to see the daylight again and to not feel like I’m letting others down or like I’m on that slippery slope to addiction. You need a light at the end of the tunnel… LET ME BE YOUR LIGHT.

I am new to blogging and I may not have this site looking proper yet…but I am learning and there will be visual changes and comment areas and ways for you to reach out. Sometimes… well actually a lot of the time in order to stay on the path to health you will need someone who wants to and is willing to listen so you can be heard. Let your pain out, let it be heard. Being heard..heals. Just as taking a mineral that we are sooo deficient in or a vitamin or eating your greens just like Mama Bunny has said for millions of years…  “Thumper eat your greens!”

As you see I am very passionate about health, the wellness of the world and of each individual, beautiful person because YOU ARE WORTH IT! This world needs you. My grandmother used to say, “It takes all kinds to make a world go round”.

I will also help you to steer away from the hazards that can hurt your body that you may not even realize are doing so. This path is about health and wellness, being heard and talking, its about building lives with our families, friends and loved ones again, about the struggles of not just pain but strategies to help you implement to reduce pain and stress in all areas of your lives. Whether it be support for family concerns, newborn babies, raising children, marriage or relationships, mental health concerns, financial concerns, growing teenagers (you guys are going to be our leaders you are important too). Topics about the pains of getting older, health, the importance of each organ and how to help heal them when they start giving us trouble, losing loved ones, job stress…I could keep going on and on, and I am quite able to, but I think you understand. Any stress needs to be talked about to release your body from the dark that is brewing inside over what might be causing such negativity in your life. Even just simple everyday advice, a helpful quote to give encouragement to your day and or a new strategy to help you communicate your needs and concerns better to others in your lives. This is about living life the best way we can and being able to find resolutions. Some of these issues have been a part of my healing and will be a part of your healing.

Anything and everything that I know I will pass on to you. Since we were able to crawl, we have heard the word “share”. I have a good 40 years worth of “share” ready to let loose…lol. (Gotta love lol hey?)

I’ll share a funny story about “LOL”. So a few years ago, (ok maybe like a decade or so ago), when I started to jump on the technology wagon and started texting, myself and my husband shared a phone at the time, (NOT possible now), but at that time it was new and expensive. Anywho… a friend of his would text and at times he would have “lol” in his message. This was starting to concern me and I had to approach my husband, I said, “Why is Brad (not his real name) sending you lots of love all the time???” My husband cracked up laughing, “That means… laugh out loud Char!!!…OH..LOL. Well after I felt stupid, I felt very relieved LOL. Although I kind of like the “Lots of Love” interpretation too. Laughter is sooooo important to recovery and if you are not snickering yet, by the end of this journey there will be a permanent, goofy, gorgeous smile tattooed underneath all of your little sniffers because you will be significantly pain free once again.

There will be new up to date information as it is available and some info may have  improper grammar and run on sentences because I will be so excited to get it out that a rant could happen.  I will try my best to behave. But for the most part any topic will be about becoming whole again. Filling in that gapping void that feels like it may be consuming you. I can and will help you fill it back in and rebuild your life away from the prescription bottle. I am still working on decreasing my meds and I have went from 800mg of codeine daily plus other meds, to be able to decrease over a year or so down to 100mg of codeine once daily as of 14 days ago. (Doin’ my happy dance baby). I am still working hard, I have went through many detoxes and a few cleanses of which I will tell you all about.  I know it TAKES work… so lets do it together. I’ll let you know my accomplishments and my not so great discouraging, idiot decisions for you to avoid..lol…I’m ok with that, because to learn, you have to make a few mistakes, as long as you learn from those mistakes.

We are human, we are not perfect and its ok to feel everything.

So blog number 3 I guess will get us started at the beginning. To find the finish line you need to take that first step, and if you are still reading… you’ve just taken the first two.

                                                     Congratulations!
